| Get your burners in a row | |
| 18 June 2008 PREMIUM Appliance Brands has expanded its portfolio of White-Westinghouse cooking appliances with two ‘ribbon’ hobs – one electric and the other gas. They are narrower than conventional hobs and the burners are set out in a line, which means users do not have to reach over a hot zone while cooking. The design also provides increased work top space around the hob. For those that prefer to cook with gas, the 1,120mm stainless steel gas hob features four zones (including a wok burner) and cast iron pan supports. The electric hob, meanwhile, is 900mm wide and includes features such as ‘hi-light elements’ for rapid heating and electronic touch controls. Chief executive, Guy Weaver, commented: “We are delighted to enhance the White-Westinghouse range with this contemporary new design – the hobs are sure to prove popular with consumers looking to add style to their kitchen and they will be a great addition to our kitchen appliance offering.”
